We are Sean Murphy and Anna Mueller of Murphy Family Farm in Freedom, Maine.
Our story began on an apple orchard and farm store in Massachusetts, where we first met and discovered a shared dream of one day opening a farm market of our own. After starting Murphy Family Farm in 2013 and spending more than a decade growing food and selling at farmers markets across Maine, we finally opened Orchard View Farm Market in 2025.
Today, we grow as much of the vegetables, fruit, and flowers sold in our market as possible. To offer an even wider selection, we partner with local farms and Maine producers who share our commitment to healthy, quality food.
From the beginning, our farm has been managed without sprays of any kind, synthetic or organic. We have never used plastic mulch, and we have worked hard to eliminate single-use plastic from our production practices. Sustainability is more than a farming method for us – it’s a commitment to caring for our land, our community, and our family.
